Tee Reports:

In New Mexico, 1 in 4 children is at risk of hunger and 1 in 6 people overall.

The Rock…

The Rock at Noonday exists to offer hope to the homeless in Albuquerque, NM through the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. We foster relationships by providing a lunchtime meal to a population that often goes overlooked, and we offer a way to help them get back on their feet. Other services provided include:

  • The Rock permits its street address to be used by the homeless and has a Mail Room where they can pick up their mail daily
  • laundry service done by a volunteer
  • showers
  • haircuts
  • Sunday worship
  • telephone services
  • legal and other consultation services plus more

The Clothing Room has been temporarily set up in the main hall where meals are usually served. Meals are now served via the kitchen door to the outside and may soon be set up in the parking lot where fresh air and space will provide the required social distancing and ventilation. Items offered include clothing, shoes, toiletries, blanket plus many miscellaneous items generously donated.

Roadrunner Food Bank…

Tee R. Kasper, ARCWP with Cleveland Peoples, Dry Goods Manager

Roadrunner Food Bank is carefully monitoring developments regarding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).  Staff and volunteers follow hand washing, wearing of gloves and social distancing regulations. Masks are optional at this time.

Because some partner agencies have been unable to remain open, canned goods which had been boxed for agency distribution are now resorted for individual use. Boxes containing a full variety of fruits, vegetables, pastas/rice/potatoes, condiments, healthy snacks plus more will be re-distributed to individuals and households.
