Rosemarie Smead entered a Discalced Carmelite Monastery. Her calling was to use spiritual and psychological skills to those in need. She earned an M.S. in Psychometrics and doctorate in Counseling Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. She did couples/family therapy/group therapy working with delinquent youth, imprisoned murderers, and former women religious. Rosemarie retired after 26 years at Indiana University. Rosemarie was ordained a priest in Louisville, KY, in April, 2013. She ministers to the mentally ill, students, and families in Kentucky.
